Motor Houtrust started as a Motorcycle Dealership in 1946. Founded by W. Guijs. The name Motor Houtrust was given because the first shop was situated near "de Houtrusthallen", an accomodation for athletics and others types of sports. In 1979 the company moved to Scheveningen, where is stayed for 16 years. From 1995 until the present Motor Houtrust is situated in "Forepark" near the Hague. At the moment Motor Houtrust is owned by Pim Guijs, son of the founder.
